Bea Landscape Design was appointed by XLB Property, working in collaboration with project architects Frank Shaw Associates, to provide comprehensive landscape and arboricultural consultancy services for the delivery of a prestigious new Grade A office development at Capital Park, Cambridge.
The scheme comprised approximately 40,653 sq ft of high-quality office accommodation, designed to enhance the existing business park environment while meeting modern commercial standards.
The commission encompassed both arboricultural and landscape consultancy services throughout the entire lifecycle of the project, from the initial design and planning stages through to completion on site.
Bea Landscape Design acted as the client’s retained consultant during the early phases of the development, providing specialist guidance and support to ensure the successful integration of landscape and environmental considerations.
During the construction phase, the practice was subsequently novated to the main contractor, Buckingham Group, enabling continuity of service and ensuring that the landscape vision was effectively delivered through to completion.
In addition to the office development, the project scope included the extension of the existing CPC1 car park to accommodate increased capacity requirements, together with the design and implementation of the landscape proposals surrounding a new on-site cafeteria.
These elements were carefully integrated into the wider masterplan to create an attractive, functional, and cohesive external environment for occupiers and visitors alike.
